Combination therapy by psychiatric drugs for chronic pain syndrome
In following, I would like to mention a positive experience with using combination therapy in patient with behavioral disorders, who was a fosterling of orphanage, with uncertain of attachment, with chronic pain syndrome in lumbosacral part of backbone including positive CT and congenital defect – spina bifida S1. In conduct disorder and aggression by patients with a diagnosis of mental retardation in the vast majority serve sedative or incisive antipsychotics and mood stabilizers, which were for years, in different set up of variations. After some time, there was a repetition of hostile behavior and aggression, hard regulation and repetitive changes in therapy. By combination therapy with antipsychotics and escitalopram patient was in tight contact with surprisingly decent behavior, without behavioral disorders and patient stated that his chronical backbone pain has decreased as well. After three years of hospitalization in department for long-term therapy, has been relocated into a social care home.
