Cognitive remediation in mild cognitive impairment

Mild cognitive impairment is clinically interesting cathegory of actual clinical research. Mild cognitive impairment is understood as early cognitive impairment (predementia) with possible risk of conversion into dementia. Early diagnostics as well as treatment of mild cognitive impairment is crucial. Our experience with nonpharmacological method calles cognitive remediation by means of computer mediated training program Cogmed QM is reported. Cognitive remediation comprises five weeks lasting computer mediated training program leading to improvement of attention, memory impregnation and other executive functions. Our experience with cognitive remediation are positive, we recommend this memory training program for clinical practice as a useful nonpharmacological method for improving cognitive functions.
