Differential diagnosis of dementia with phatic disorder – case report
In presented case report where the clinical picture was the dominant symptom of language disorder the author highlights the need for thorough diagnosis of the type of dementia, which affects the choice of adequate therapy, prognosis, and the quality of life of patients and their families. The patient was sent and received on hospitalization with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's dementia. Given the atypical course of the disease and particularly clinical picture differential diagnostic investigation was made and diagnosis was reviewed. The author discusses the differential diagnosis of neurodegenerative process with frontotemporal predilection and determines the probable diagnosis and the resulting possibility of therapeutic intervention process and determination of prognosis.
