Bipolar affective disorder in comorbidity with patological gambling – case report
Bipolar affective disorder occurs as a comorbidity among 24 % of pathological gamblers. In this case a 51-years old male subjected to long-term treatment for the depressive disorder is seeking medical assistance in relation to the escalated compulsive gambling behaviour during the manic epizode. BAD and pathological gambling are diagnosed simultaneously with the necessity for treatment of both disorders.
