Behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia from the perspective of current psychiatric practice in Slovakia
Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) are due to demographic trends in our countries the disorder we will face more and more often. The workshop on the „Symposium Psychiatry for Practice“ held in Senec in October 2010 for psychiatrists involved to the topic of gerontopsychiatry was devoted to the inpatient and outpatient practices of treatment of BPSD in Slovakia. In this article we present the outcomes of the workshop and their comparison with guidelines in other countries.
