Properly application of eye drops – the role of the pharmacist in patient education
Eye drops (instillations), belong to the most used eye medicines. The most used are medicines containing antiallergics, antiglaucomatics, anti-infectives and artificial tears. Eye drops are very specific in technological compounding, and in application, as well. Non-properly application of eye drops results in decreased pharmacological effect and increased risk of pharmacotherapy failure. We present the educational leaflet for patients, how to self-administer the eye drops properly.
