The most common skin complications of patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 in outpatient treatment
Many of dermatological disorders and skin changes is occurring more frequently in type 2 diabetes. Skin diseases in diabetics are most often as a consequence of diabetic micronagiopathy, polyneuropathy or increased tendency to infections. Treating almost seemingly negligible damages of the skin is necessary as a preventive arrangement, for example, for the development of diabetic foot. The role of the diabetologist is to recommend to patient some precautionary steps against formation of skin injuries, inform the patient about the procedures of the treatment of skin lesions and send the patient to a specialist for examination by the nature of the skin lesion.
