Drug-induced photosensitivity – part II
Drug-induced photosensitivity is an adverse cutaneous reaction that results when a certain drug is applied topically or taken systematically at the same time when a person is exposed to ultraviolet radiation or visible light. Generally, photosensitivity reactions are classified as phototoxic or photoallergic. However, clinically and morphologically photosensitive reactions are often resembled to many other dermatological diseases. The second part of the article summarizes the clinical features of photosensitivity of the most common photoreactive medications.
