Colostomic equipment
The incidence of cancer of the colon and rectum has an increasing trend in recent years. Sufferers usually comes to the examination late, thereby the percentage of dire consequences is increasing. Patients are hardly reconciled with the proposed operations and many of them are socially „handicapped“. Loss of normal bowel function is perceived as too burdensome interference with the human personality. However patients can live with intestinal outlet, but there is important to choose the appropriate medical device to cover the stoma and to capture the intestinal contents and to select of appropriate cleaning and protective aids as well.
