Pharmacokinetic modeling I.

Due to using modern experimental apparatuses, system thinking and computer modelling, the pharmacokinetic analysis is currently in a period of its rapid progressing. The correctly synthetized pharmacokinetic models can reveal both the explicit and hidden relationships between auxiliary substances contained in the dosage form and the in-vivo performance of the drug. Just the system thinking and synergy of cybernetics and pharmaceutical technology are factors which enable the development of smart dosage forms of higher generations. The paper characterizes linear and nonlinear pharmacokinetics as such, briefly explains the role of pharmacokinetic modelling and tries to throw light on the metaphysics of compartment models.
