The algorithm for choosing an appropriate drug for pain treatment
A pain is a very common symptom of diseases. If it is not adequately treated, considerably decreases the quality of patient´s life and increases the incidence of somatic diseases associated or resulting from it. Chronic pain is one of the most common diseases. Even if it has no high mortality, the morbidity of the disease/symptom /syndrome is very high and the consequences of untreated or poorly treated pain can be a serious health problem. The costs of pain treatment are one of the highest ever and significantly burden physicians, health care facilities and health insurance companies.
