Actual strategies in pharmacotherapy of skin disorders – acne and psoriasis
Skin disorders represent not only a serious medicinal but also a psychosocial problem. Therefore, drugs that are employed in their treatment represent an important area of pharmacology and pharmacotherapy. From the pharmacological point of view, two disorders are long-standing in the foreground – acne and psoriasis. In their therapy, a number of pharmacological strategies are used, retinoids occupying a significant position in the treatment of both. Additionally, biological therapy has recently been strongly promoted for treatment of psoriasis.
