Rapunzel syndrom – unexpected cause of abdominal pain

The authors present a case of a six year old girl with an abdominal pain lasting for a few years. The reason for the pain was finally revealed as Rapunzel syndrome which is an extreme form of trichobezoar, where the tail of the bezoar extends from the stomach to the small bowel.
