First aid by avulsion of teeth
Authors introduce an overview of dental injuries with definition of avulsion of a tooth. They analyze factors of successful replantation (character of injury, time from the trauma, local damage of the socket, age of the child) and point out importance of first aid immediately after the avulsion that includes stop of bleeding, atraumatic management of the avulsed tooth, especially preservation under wet conditions and replantation within 6 hours from the trauma. Authors recommend obligatory chest x-ray if the avulsed tooth was lost.
