THE PROBLEM OF NATAL AND NEONATAL TEETH

Child development is marked by many changes through the first year of life. Teeth eruption follows a chronology and small variations are depending on hereditary, endocrine and environmental factors. Nevertheless the first teeth may be present at birth or erupt during the first month of life. The expectations about the eruption of the first teeth are great and even greater when the teeth appear early in the oral cavity. The objective of this study is to present clinical characteristics of this anomaly with possible choices of treatment.

Keywords: natal teeth, neonatal teeth.
