Mandatory vaccination in member states of the European Union
There is a large variability within the member states of the European Union concerning the individual national vaccination systems. The EU project VENICE was created and launched in 2006 in order to facilitate international cooperation and reduce vaccination diversity. The project involves besides the EU member states also the countries of The European Free Trade Association (EFTA, including Norway, Island and Lichtenstein).
