Developmental deformities of lower limbs and gait disturbances in children

Developmental deformities of lower limbs and gait disturbances in children are frequent variations of physiological development. The most common deformities of lower extremities are rotational and angular. Clinical manifestation of rotational deformities are in-toeing and out-toeing. Most frequent angular deformities of lower limbs include genua vara and genua valga. Authors emphasize the need of interdisciplinary approach between pediatrician and orthopaedic surgeon in diagnosis making and treatment of these deformities.
