OBESE CHILD IN A PEDIATRIC CLINIC
The recent paper reflects the experience with managing children and adolescents with overweight and obesity. Specific attention is pointed to age related-specifics of this condition. Because of the difficulties in treating obesity in children and adolescents, underscores the basic role of primary care pediatricians and their communication with the affected family. Also, a more intense collaboration with specialized pediatric obesitology clinics is suggested.
