Mesenteric cyst in 6-year-old girl – case report
Mesenteric cysts are rare diagnosis. They are mainly situated on small bowel. In general, mesenterial cysts are inborn or inborn based abnormalities, that is why the diagnosis is made in childhood or infancy with clinical presentation of acute abdomen. Authors refer a case study of 6-year-old girl treated in Žilina Faculty Hospital because of recurrent abdominal pain and MR finding of cystic mass. The mesenteric cyst was confirmed by laparoscopic approach and resection of cyst with adjacent small bowel was performed by minilaparotomy. Postoperative course was uneventful.
