When to start consider cancer?
Malignant diseases in children and adolescents are very rare with high curable rates. Despite this fact, this is the most common cause of mortality, after injuries. The symptoms at disease onset are nonspecific, mimicking other common causes. Because of aggressive biological behaviour with rapid local progression and dissemination, the suspicion of cancer followed by early and accurate diagnosis is crucial for prognosis of the disease.
