HYPERAMYLASEMIS AND PANCREAS

The increased activity of the total α-amylasis caused by hyperamylasemis is often to meet in common clinical praxis. This laboratory result may be symptom of serious disease, for example of acute pancreatitis, however it can be also a part of minor morphological change. In differential diagnostics concurrently assessment of pancreatic izoenzyme α-amylasis and pancreatic lipasis is particularly recommended.Hyperamylasemis without clinical and morphologic symptoms of pancreatitis is not a disorder.
