Is there effective primary prevention of allergic diseases nowadays?
Allergic diseases present very important sub-group of so-called diseases of civilization (lifestyle diseases) and their increasing prevalence is explained by many theories. The most preferred one is revised hygienic and epigenetic theory. Regarding the gradulally increasing prevalence of these diseases, the attention of scientific societies is focused on their prevention. According to the published literature, we have sufficient evidences for the rational approach to the prevention of allergic diseases and several traditional recommendations and approaches have been doubted.
