Epizoonozes are the group of dermatological diseases caused by animals. The increase of incidence is observed globally in the last 15 years, so they are major health issue. Head louse infestation of scalp in children and adults is the most common disease. Absence of itching and of changes on the skin about 50 % patiens present risk of not revealed sources of infection and possibility of further spreading of disease. The epidemiological situation is worsened by the increase of resistency and the ban of toxic insecticides. Using of hair conditioner and combing hair with dense comb are suggested to be the treatment of the first choice particularly in infants and children. There are remedies based on natural substances available on the market. A new highly effective remedy is based on dimeticone, which inhibits respiration in adult and developing individuals.
