What was the cause of primary amenorrhea?
We report a case of almost 16 years old girl with headache, primary amenorrhea and galactorrhea. High levels of prolactine were present, MRI scan revealed pituitary microadenoma – prolactinoma. Prolactinomas are rare pituitary adenomas in children. Microadenomas are seen more often ich girls, predominantly with hormone symptomatology. The boys are more likely to develop macroadenomas. The aim of treatment with dopamine agonists is to decrease tumor size and restore gonadal function.
