Headache in children

Headache in children is one on the most common reasons for examination by a pediatric neurologist. It is the cause of mental and physical discomfort, frequent absences in school, limitation in common daily activities and significantly reduces quality of life. Prevalence of headache is high, up to 80 %. Primary headaches represent a high portion of cases (migrainous, tension and neuropathic trigeminic). However, it is very important to distinguish secondary causes (infectious, expansive and others), which have specific warning signs. However, the limited description of clinical picture by pediatric patient, as well as the various clinical symptoms, that make the diagnosis such difficult.
