Childhood acute leukemia
Leukemia is the most common malignancy in childhood. The prognosis for children with leukemia in recent decades has improved dramatically and is the result of systematic and well organized international research efforts and clinical trials. The success of treatment is now primarily dependent on the precise diagnosis of a advanced stratification of patients into risk groups. Article summarizes recent findings and current trends in diagnosis and treatment of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
