Acute upper limb ischemia in newborn
Introduction: Peripheral artery thrombosis in neonates is an extremely rare but serious complication of the early post-partum period. Lower limb ischemia is more frequent than upper limb ischemia. There are only few data that address neonatal peripheral artery thrombosis and its management directly. The adequate treatment is only marginally described in form of case reports. Case report: We encountered a case of arterial thrombosis in a newborn who was admitted to our clinic from a local hospital for the purpose of adequate early management and treatment. Conclusion: Given the rare situation we decided to analyze the case report in this article in order to point out the treatment model in neonatal acute limb ischemia.
