Urgent conditions in the palliative hospice care

The patients indicated to palliative hospice care face the danger (in exceptional cases) of extreme stress in illness’s terminal stage. The most usual complications are severe pain, choking, haematemesis, uncontrolled recurrent vomiting, many epileptic paroxysms, states of panic anxiety, acute cardiovascular or cerebrovascular accident. There are three case reports which document the process of urgent conditions in palliative hospice care and how they are handled. By the right timing and sufficiently dynamic treatment the suffering of the patient would be moderated and the negative impact on the family of the patient would be limited.
