Criminal prosecution for professionally provided palliative care – nonsense or real threat?
The authors offered to 37 clinicians of different specialties a case of terminal palliative care. The casuistry was taken over a renowned monograph. Two clinicians marked published procedure to be an euthanasia and one of them (authorized expert in medicine) suggested legal proceedings. The authors are calling for improvement in pre and postgradual education in palliative care. They emphasize future role of the Czech society of palliative medicine CLS JEP which was founded in 2008.
