Monitoring post-operative pain in patients undergoing cardiac surgery – aortocoronary bypass
The main focus of the article is on post-operative pain monitoring in patients after aortocoronary bypass surgery. The main objective was to establish: 1. whether nurses use pain assessment scales, 2. the differences in pain intensity between day 1 and day 6 post-op, 3. which of the analogue scales that are available meets patient needs better as a form of pain intensity report.
