Pathological fractures of the long bones in the palliative hospice care

Pathological fracture of the long bones in terminally ill patients in hospice care is a serious therapeutical problem. Surgical approach cannot be indicated because the prognosis is fatal in a short time. Conservative treatment using plaster cast and sufficient analgesia is usefull and facilitates the patient to spent last days of the life quietly and peacefully.
