Thyroid carcinoma in holistic palliative care
Thyroid carcinoma is treated on the platform of surgery, endocrinology and nuclear medicine. The complex oncology centres have are no logistic proceses prepared for it. This could be one of reasons why a holistic model of disease is not practically used and it can affect patient´s quality of life and qoals of care. The article points out the troubles in daily clinical care which have main reasons in discontinuity of care and shows difficulties with application of holistic treatment.
