PRINCIPLES AND POSSIBILITIES OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF THE COLORECTAL CANCER

At the threshold of the third millennium, a Colorectal Carcinoma (CC) presents a permanent problem concerning a redundant incidence and unsatisfactory number of patients who visit a surgeon in early stage of the affection, when it is to solve through a curative surgery. A total mesorectal excision in solution of a CC, a preservation of the autonomic nerve plexuses and exploitation pouches in the reconstruction phase are matter of course. A metastatic CC seems not to be a problem any more and a patient should not be resolved through a lenitive surgery effort in any case. Even an advanced locoregional CC is solvable through multivisceral resections of the extensive surgery methods. In the spectrum of the specialized oncological places there should not fail a hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), which could be indicated to the certain group of patients.

Keywords: colorectal carcinoma, total mesorectal excision, preservation of the autonomic nerve plexuses, multivisceral resections.
