IMPORTANCE OF THE ENDOSCOPIC ULTRASONOGRAPHY IN DIAGNOSIS OF PANCREATIC AND BILIARY CARCINOMA
Incidence of carcinoma of the pancreas and biliary tract is increasing. These diseases pose also a great diagnostic challenge. This review article summarizes role of endoscopic ultrasound in the diagnosis of these diseases. Attention is paid on the needle biopsy of these organs, a procedure which sets the pace and direction of this method.
