Prostate cancer incidence and mortality in Slovakia and abroad
Prostate cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed non-skin cancer in the male population. In the Slovak Republic there is a middle occurrence of this disease, however, when consider the Central and Eastern Europe the incidence is quite high. The age-adjusted incidence of the disease shows a considerable increase, mortality increased only slightly. The authors analysed basic epidemiological features of the occurrence and mortality on prostate cancer and they compared the data with other countries.
