The current view of the familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP)

The rate of morbidity and mortality in oncologic diseases has constantly increasing tendency. Gastrointestinal tumors represent 33% from all carcinoma and are the leading cause of worldwide death. Majority of colon tumors are highly prevalent. Although, colon tumors are easily accessible to examinations, more than half of patients come to the doctor with advanced disease. Lymph-nodes are often affected and metastases are present at this stage of disease, this fact affects the long-term survival of patients.
