RADIOTHERAPY IN THE TREATMENT OF LOCALLY ADVANCED BASAL CELL CARCINOMA

The basal cell carcinoma is the most frequent epithelial malignant tumour, which arises from basal cells of epidermis and from hair follicles. Radiotherapy is used as an alternative of surgical treatment. Many dose-fractionation schedules are used, they result to the same treatment effect. In the following case report we present the activity of radiotherapy in the treatment of locally advanced basal cell carcinoma.
