Radiological diagnosis of ovarian Yolk sac tumor

Endodermal sinus tumor also known as Yolk sac tumor is a member of the highly malignant germ cell tumor group of cancers, occurs in childhood, adolescence, and young adult women. Is a second most common malignant ovarian germ cell tumor. Best imaging tool is a contrast enhanced computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as alternative to CT. Computed tomography associated with elevated serum AFP levels is a gold standard for evaluation of correct diagnosis. In this article, we report our experience concerning the radiology imaging findings in a young patient with recurrent ovarian Yolk sac tumor.
