PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF TAKING CARE OF SERIOUSLY ILL AND DYING

Last year, the author of this contribution has had the possibility to communicate with over 180 healthcare professionals and volunteers working mainly with cancer patients in palliative and hospice institutions. The result of these inspiring discussions a professional reflection about the personality of seriously ill and dying , as well as particularities of his/her needs within the holistic approach, in confrontation with possibilities of improvement of communication and quality of relationship between the coadjutant (doctor, healthcare professionals, other coadjutant professions) and the patient.
