Position of surgery, adjuvant and neoadjuvant therapy in gastric cancer
Worldwide exists different practices in multimodal treatment of gastric cancer. Asian countries based on surgery followed by adjuvant chemotherapy, perioperative chemotherapy has become the standard in Europe, the USA is the standard adjuvant chemoradiotherapy and more recently to recommended therapies was included neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
