The vaccination against COVID-19 in cancer patients
Four vaccines are approved for clinical use in EU. Even though cancer patients were not included in their registration trials, we have emerging data from observational studies that included these patients. By extrapolation from flu and herpes vaccination, we know that vaccinations are beneficial in cancer patients. International guidelines recommend vaccination of all cancer patients as part of a highrisk group. Details regarding subgroups of patients are mentioned in the text.
