Late effects after anticancer therapy in childhood
Children diagnosed with cancer today have a better chance than ever before of surviving their malignancy and in many of them, their survival is significantly better than adults. However, learning more about the late and long-term side effects of therapy is important. That knowledge is useful for refining current approaches to treating childhood cancers and to monitoring the health of adult survivors who were treated many years ago.
