Late effects of anticancer therapy

Although the cancer survivorship population is heterogeneous, the many patients who become survivors face serious morbidity and mortality. Additionaly, these patients are at increased risk of premature development of age-related changes and atypical presentations of common health conditions. Therapy of these late effects can be ineffective. In this article we present the current knowledge regarding the late effects of anticancer therapy with the greatest impact on quality of life particularly in patients cured from Hodgkin´s lymphoma, testicular, breast and colorectal cancer.
