TESTICULAR CANCER – DIAGNOSTICS AND TREATMENT

Testicular tumors are the most frequent malignancy in 22 – 44 year old males. It is thus necessary to know at least the principal epidemiology and etiology data related to testicular tumors. Emphasis is placed on the basic clinical symptoms and diagnostic approaches in the assessment of the primary testicular tumor, presence and extent of its metastases. Exact histo-pathological classification of this malignancy help determine the treatment procedure and its success. The place of the radical orchiectomy in primary treatment of testicular cancer is being discussed. Therapeutic possibilities in seminomas and nonseminomatous tumors according to the clinical stage of the disease are shown.
