CONTROVERSIES OF THE INDICATIONS IN THE TREATMENT OF CERVIKAL CANCER IN STAGE Ib2
The tumor size in cervical cancer is one of the important and significant prognostic factor. Tumor with diameter less than 4 cm presents stage Ib1 and tumor more than 4 cm in diameter presents stage Ib2. Both of these are localy diseases, but prognosis and treatment of these stages are different. That was the reason, why FIGO (International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics) in august 1995 in Montreal passed a new staging classification, and divided stage Ib into the substages Ib1 and Ib2.
