Pediatric oncology on the verge of 21. century: perspectives, aims and future visions
Pediatric oncology has achieved tremendous improvements in survival of children diagnosed with cancer during tle last decades, with the 5 year survival rate approaching 80 %. On the beginning of the new millenium, nearly after 50 years of existency of pediatric oncology, is the right time to review current situation, progress and challenges, as well as looking for future plans, directions and research.
