Stroke as a consequence of vascular toxicity induced by anticancer therapy

This article provides a minireview of stroke in association with basic vascular complications of anticancer therapy. Some vascular effects may become evident during anticancer therapy or many years after completion of this treatment. The article briefly summarizes the most common causes of cerebrovascular complications in cancer patients. The newest recommendation for early detection and follow up of vascular complications, which might be important in pathogenesis of stroke are also presented.
