Biologic and targeted therapy for urogenital maliginities
Advances in the understanding of cancer biology led to the development of targeted therapies including biologic therapy. Great success has been witnessed in the treatment of renal cell carcinoma, where targeted therapies substantially shifted currently held therapeutic results. Some advance has been achieved in targeted therapy of prostate cancer, however there have been sceptical results in the treatment of bladder cancer. Herein, a review of the current biologic and targeted treatment approaches of urogenital malignancies is presented.
