Antiemetic therapy – what has brought the last decade?

Nausea and vomiting are considered for one of the most disturbing toxicities resulting from cytostatic treatment. Despite important advances in antiemetic therapy with introducing of setrons in the begining of 90-s, nausea and vominiting still belong to the most threatened adverse events of chemotherapy. Fortunately, with discovering of new drugs in oncology, is going hand in hand also improvement in supportive therapy. So recently at the end of 1-st decade of 21-century we have for use another important antiemetic drugs neurokinin-1 receptor antagonists.
