Cenobamate in the treatment of refractory focal epilepsy. Case series
More than a third of patients with epilepsy are treatment resistant. Fortunately new, more effective therapies to achieve seizure freedom are on the way. The new drug cenobamate (YKP3089) has shown broad spectrum anticonvulsant activity in preclinical studies and high efficacy in focal seizures control. After the drug was marketed, many patients benefit from cenobamate treatment, as is presented in a case series.
